Salem Sheriff’s Office Receives Reaccreditation

The Salem Sheriff’s Office was recognized for their reaccreditation achievement in a ceremony at the Salem City Council meeting on Monday August 28, 2017. Presenting the award was Gary Roche, Chief of Police for the Town of Pulaski and Chairman of  (VLEPSC) as well as Derrick Mays, Accreditation Program Manager with DCJS, and Sheriff Steve Draper of Martinsville, also a Commission member. This is the 4th award for the Sheriff’s Office since 2005. Congratulations to Sheriff Atkins and the members of the Salem Sheriff’s Office as well as the City of Salem.

Reynolds CC PD Receives 2nd Award

VLEPSC Commissioner, Sheriff JJ Mclaughlin, New Kent County Sheriff’s Office and Mr. Derrick Mays, Department of Criminal Justice Services VLEPSC Program Manager, formally presented the second Certification of Accreditation to the Reynolds Community College Police Department on August 17. Congratulations to Reynolds Police Chief Paul Ronca, Charles Bishop, Reynolds Accreditation Manager, the members of the Reynolds Police and Campus Security Departments and the Reynolds Community College.

Martinsville Sheriff’s Office Receives 3rd Accreditation Award

On August 8, 2017 during the City Council Meeting, The Martinsville Sheriff’s Office was formally presented with the agency’s 3rd Award as an Accredited Law Enforcement Agency. Congratulations Fairfax Co. S O and Fairfax Co. PD on their Re-accredited Status!

On July 25, 2017, the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office (3rd Award)  and the Fairfax County Police Department (6th Award) were presented with their Accreditation Certificates. Presenting the awards was VLEPSC Commissioner and  Warrenton Police Chief, Louis Battle. Congratulations to Sheriff Kincaid, Chief  Roessler and the men and women of both agencies on a job well done.

Newport News Sheriff’s Office receives 2nd Award for Accreditation

On June 13, during a regularly scheduled City Council Meeting, the Newport News Sheriff’s Office was formally awarded the agency’s 2nd award as an accredited Sheriff’s Office. Presenting the award was VLEPSC Commissioner Sheriff Darrell Warren, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office. Congratulations to Sheriff Morgan, the Newport News Sheriff’s Office and the community.

Galax Police Department Receives 5th Award as an Accredited Agency

On June 12, 2017, the Galax Police Department was formally presented with the agency’s 5th award as an accredited Police Department. DCJS Accreditation Program Manager Derrick Mays presented the award during a regularly scheduled City Council Meeting. Congratulations to Chief Rick Clark, the Galax Police Department and the City of Galax. Town of Farmville Police Department Receives 1st Reaccreditation Award

On June 7, 2017, The Town of Farmville Police Department was formally presented the agency’s 1st Reaccreditation Award. Presenting the award during a town council meeting was DCJS Accreditation Program Manager Derrick Mays. Congratulations to Chief Ellington, the members of the Farmville Police Department, and the Community.
